Beautiful property and so much to do. We had a great weekend and everyone loved it. I would highly recommend this property if you’re coming to Tamarindo. It does not disappoint.

This is a truly gorgeous home, nicely appointed and an architectural wonder. Three people in our group are builders and were completely fascinated by the construction and design. We were a party of 10, and the house had plenty of gathering spaces for everyone to comfortably spend time together. Every window and deck offers an incredible view, and the location is conveniently close to town — about 5 minutes to Tamarindo.
Previous reviews are accurate about the driveway. Some Ubers had no issue, while others were hesitant. There are ramps and stairs throughout the property that could be challenging for anyone with limited mobility. Overall, an exceptional place to stay. We would absolutely stay again.
Our stay was amazing. Fishing with Josef was incredible — we caught a 300 lb marlin. Bucket list check. Ask for the private chef — incredible food cooked in the kitchen and served on the deck with an amazing sunset. Well worth it.
Everything was perfect overall. Just be prepared for a steep walk up the walkway to the house. The pools were somewhat cool, possibly due to the time of year. The house was clean overall, though being on the side of a hill in the woods means leaves in the pool and hot tub can happen.
If you Uber, be prepared to be dropped at the bottom of the driveway or offer to guide them up. Some drivers struggled. The house is literally on the side of a mountain, but the views make up for it.

Beautiful home. Our group of 10 had plenty of space and privacy.
The hosts were amazing and responsive. The house was clean and perfect for a big group. We all had our own bathrooms and almost our own pools — there are three. The house is in a gated community at the top of the mountain. Taxis and vans struggled to make it up. We had to carry luggage up multiple flights of stairs. We are in our mid-30s and in good shape, and it was still challenging.
The tucked-away location is a positive if you want privacy. I would recommend renting a golf cart. Other than the access challenge, 10/10 stay.
It’s a great place with a unique layout. We had young kids and one elderly guest in their late 60s. The stairs and walk to the bungalow were challenging. It’s great for adults. The living room is smaller than it appears in photos, so gathering 10 people inside is tight, though the outdoor patio is beautiful if humidity and bugs don’t bother you.
The vertical layout can feel intimidating at first — multiple floors from driveway to door and additional floors to the bungalow. Not recommended for young kids or those with balance or knee issues. It is safe in a gated community, and the host was very responsive. There was an extra charge for maid service. Construction nearby may have caused noise during our stay.
